In the complaint, Merck argued that Medicare drug price negotiations, which will go into effect in 2026, are “tantamount to extortion.” Merck is arguing that forcing drugs to be sold at prices set by the government violates a clause of the Fifth Amendment that prohibits the government from taking private property without just compensation.

The LIV Golf Tour is supported by billions of dollars from Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund, and attracted many golfers away from the PGA Tour with larger payouts. LIV sued the PGA Tour last year, claiming the PGA used its monopoly power to prevent media companies and vendors from working with LIV. The PGA Tour countersued, alleging that LIV interfered with its players’ contracts.

Prince Harry became the first British royal to testify in court in over a century, alleging that a British tabloid conducted this illegal activity to obtain private facts about his life.
Prince Harry is one of more than 100 celebrities in the suit against Mirror Group Newspapers. He described how he suspected that a phone given to him when he was in boarding school was hacked after voicemails were unexpectedly marked as listened.
Linda Yaccarino, previously an ad exec at NBCUniversal, officially started as CEO of this Elon Musk-owned tech company, which has seen its advertising revenue plummet nearly 60% year-over-year.
Yaccarino takes the helm of Twitter during a tumultuous time. Ad revenue has plunged, and the company lost its second head of trust and safety a few days prior.
